1. Karim Benzema
The French powerhouse had a great World Cup scoring 5 goals for Les Bleus, something he’s not used to doing. He is a real top quality player that doesn’t get the plaudits he should as he plays in a team of world stars – or Galactico’s.
With the likes of Ronaldo and Bale in attack, he will always be overlooked. 72 goals in 159 games is a good record but perhaps a little low for the Spanish league though is still better than Olivier Giroud’s record. He would be a good signing for Arsenal and I would like to see him in the Prem!
2. Danny Welbeck
The were rumours about the young United player a few weeks ago being a target and after never hitting his top form at United it’s no surprised. I have never thought too highly of him but he changed my mind in Rio when he showed promise.
He’s got a few goals in him but has been in the shadow of Wayne Rooney for a long time now so may be open to a move.Whether Man United would sell is anybody’s guess, though Van Gaal is looking for a major reshuffle.
3. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
The Schalke forward has long since been a target for Premier League teams Liverpool and Arsenal. Though interest have decreased in recent times with the player turning 31 in the coming days and playing second fiddle to Van Persie at the World Cup.
Even though he was only on the pitch for a matter of minutes, they were incredibly important minutes as he fired the ball into Mexico’s net to send The Netherlands through to the quarter finals. He has scored 59 goals in 100 games since he joined Schalke in 2010 so he would be a good addition but is he much better than Olivier Giroud? I don’t think so, do you?
His impressive CV is nothing to be sniffed at though, with teams such as PSV, Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan among the clubs he’s turned out for.
So who exactly will Arsenal sign, or will they sign no one, what do you think?
